Policies & Terms

Clear Terms. Better Partnership.

The policies that govern accounts, case submissions, payments, remakes, warranties, shipping, turnaround times, and use of Bright Dental Lab services.

Effective September 25, 2026

These Policies & Terms apply to dental practices, dentists, dental service organizations, and other business customers that submit cases, request products or services, open an account, or otherwise do business with Bright Dental Lab ("Bright," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a case or ordering laboratory products or services, the customer agrees to the terms applicable to that business relationship.

1. Scope & Acceptance

Bright Dental Lab provides dental laboratory products and services to licensed dental professionals and business customers. Bright does not provide direct patient care and does not establish a dentist-patient relationship through its website or laboratory services.

These Policies & Terms apply unless Bright and the customer have entered into a separate written agreement that expressly provides otherwise. A separately signed service agreement, pricing agreement, Business Associate Agreement, or other written agreement will control to the extent of any direct conflict with these general terms.

2. Accounts & Payment

All accounts are due in full within 30 days of the statement date. Accounts not paid in full after 30 days will be subject to C.O.D. status and a late charge of 2% of the unpaid balance per month. Any late charge will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Bright may require prepayment, C.O.D. payment, or another approved payment arrangement based on account history, account status, case scope, or other legitimate business considerations.

Additional Payment Charges

  • A returned or dishonored check may be subject to a $20 returned-payment charge.
  • Where permitted and properly disclosed, credit-card payments may be subject to a processing surcharge that does not exceed the amount charged to Bright for the applicable credit-card transaction.
  • Chargebacks, reversed ACH payments, wire fees, bank fees, and similar payment-related costs may be charged to the customer based on the actual costs imposed on Bright.
  • The customer is responsible for reasonable collection costs, court or arbitration costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees actually incurred by Bright in collecting overdue amounts, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. Pricing

Bright may revise laboratory prices, fees, and service charges from time to time. Unless a separate written pricing agreement applies, the price in effect when Bright accepts a case will generally apply to that case.

Written quotes, special pricing arrangements, DSO pricing, promotional pricing, and other negotiated terms apply only as stated in the applicable written offer or agreement and may be subject to separate conditions.

Clinical Responsibility

4. Dentist & Practice Responsibility

Bright fabricates laboratory products according to the prescription, records, and information supplied by the prescribing dentist or dental practice. The prescribing dentist remains solely responsible for diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical indications, tooth preparation, surgical and restorative decisions, material selection where clinically applicable, the accuracy and completeness of clinical records, try-in, fit verification, contacts, occlusion, final acceptance, delivery, and all patient care.

Bright may provide technical laboratory input regarding materials, design, workflow, or fabrication; however, such input does not constitute diagnosis, treatment planning, or the practice of dentistry.

5. Case Submission, Digital Files & Clinical Records

Customers are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and clinically appropriate prescriptions, impressions, scans, bite records, photographs, implant information, components, and other records required for the requested restoration or appliance.

Bright may rely on digital scans and files as submitted. Incomplete, inaccurate, distorted, incompatible, or missing records may delay production, require new records, or result in a remake that is not covered by Bright's limited warranty.

If Bright identifies an apparent issue with submitted records, we may pause the case and request clarification, replacement records, components, or additional information before proceeding.

6. Case Changes, Cancellations & Abandonment

Changes requested after production has begun may result in additional charges based on work already performed, materials used, components ordered, or fabrication steps that must be repeated.

If a case is cancelled after the product has been completed, the full laboratory fee remains due. If a case is cancelled before completion, Bright may charge for work already performed and materials or non-returnable components already committed to the case.

If Bright requests information, approval, payment, new records, or required components and receives no response for 90 days, Bright may close the case. Work already performed and non-returnable materials or components may be billed. Physical case materials may be returned, stored, or discarded as appropriate and consistent with applicable legal or record-retention obligations.

7. Turnaround Times, Rush Service & Patient Appointments

Published or quoted turnaround times are estimates only and begin after Bright receives the complete information, records, components, and approvals required to begin production. Turnaround estimates do not include weekends, holidays, shipping time, or delivery days.

Larger, complex, highly customized, implant, esthetic, or otherwise non-standard cases may require additional production time. When reasonably possible, Bright will communicate material changes to an expected production timeline.

Rush service may be available and may carry an additional fee determined by the scope of work, requested timing, materials, and production requirements. Rush availability must be confirmed by Bright before the customer relies on an accelerated timeline.

Dental practices should not schedule definitive delivery appointments until the case has been received and verified by the practice. Bright is not responsible for chair time, patient rescheduling, missed appointments, lost production, lost revenue, or similar costs resulting from estimated turnaround times, production delays, or shipping delays.

8. Shipping & Delivery

For inbound cases and materials, Bright assumes responsibility only after the shipment has been physically received by Bright Dental Lab. The customer is responsible for properly packaging and identifying case materials and using an appropriate shipping method.

Bright is not responsible for loss, damage, misrouting, theft, or delay caused by UPS, FedEx, the U.S. Postal Service, couriers, or other third-party carriers. For outbound shipments, Bright's responsibility for carrier-related loss, damage, or delay ends when the shipment is tendered to the applicable carrier, except to the extent otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

9. Implant Components & Third-Party Parts

Bright generally fabricates implant restorations using components sourced through reputable manufacturers and suppliers selected by Bright for the applicable workflow.

If a dentist or practice requests, specifies, or supplies a third-party component, the customer assumes responsibility for the component's authenticity, compatibility, platform identification, condition, suitability, performance, and clinical use. Problems, delays, remakes, or failures resulting from doctor-supplied or doctor-requested third-party components are not covered by Bright's limited warranty unless Bright separately accepts responsibility in writing.

Prefabricated implant components, screws, attachments, hardware, and other manufacturer-produced components are subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty, if any. Bright does not extend a separate laboratory warranty beyond the manufacturer's coverage for those components themselves.

10. Remakes & Bright Dental Lab’s Limited Warranty

Bright stands behind defects in its laboratory workmanship and materials during the applicable warranty period. When Bright determines that a covered defect is attributable to its fabrication, Bright may repair or remake the restoration with an equivalent restoration at no additional laboratory charge.

Final Crown & Bridge 5 years
Definitive Full-Arch Restorations 5 years
Complete Dentures, Overdentures & Cast Metal Partials 3 years
Flexible Partials 1 year
Immediate Dentures, Flippers & Temporary Restorations 90 days
Retainers, Nightguards & Similar Appliances 90 days

Warranty Exclusions

The limited warranty does not cover remakes, repairs, or failures resulting from circumstances outside Bright's workmanship or materials, including:

  • Changes to the preparation, impression, scan, bite, material, shade, design, prescription, or treatment plan after the original case was fabricated.
  • Incomplete, inaccurate, distorted, incompatible, or missing clinical records or prescription information.
  • Changes in the patient's oral condition, tooth structure, tissue, implant position, bite, occlusion, or treatment plan after fabrication.
  • Normal wear, discoloration, improper care, trauma, accidental damage, loss, misuse, or failure unrelated to Bright's laboratory workmanship.
  • Alteration, adjustment, repair, or modification by another laboratory or third party when that work contributes to the issue.
  • Doctor-supplied or doctor-requested third-party components, except to the extent a manufacturer’s warranty applies.

Except for the shade and esthetic adjustment policy below, remakes caused by changes, errors, records, components, or circumstances attributable to the customer or clinical environment are billed at the full current laboratory fee.

11. Shade & Esthetic Remakes

If Bright fails to follow the shade information or esthetic instructions accurately submitted with the original case and Bright determines that the laboratory caused the error, the covered correction or remake will be completed at no additional laboratory charge.

If a shade or esthetic change is required because of an incorrect clinical shade selection, incomplete or missing shade information, patient preference change, changed clinical conditions, or another practice-side factor, the customer will be charged 50% to 100% of the current laboratory fee. The charge will depend on whether Bright can correct the restoration through a laboratory adjustment or whether a full remake is required.

12. Inspection & Reporting

Customers should inspect each case promptly upon receipt. Missing items, visible shipping damage, clerical discrepancies, or other issues that are reasonably discoverable upon receipt should be reported to Bright within 10 business days.

This inspection period does not shorten an otherwise applicable limited-warranty period for a covered defect that was not reasonably discoverable during the initial inspection.

13. Right to Hold, Decline or Suspend Work

Bright may decline a case, pause production, delay shipment, require clarification or replacement records, require prepayment or C.O.D. status, decline new cases, suspend an account, or terminate a business relationship when reasonably necessary because of:

  • Overdue balances, repeated returned payments, chargebacks, or other payment issues.
  • Incomplete or inadequate records, unclear prescriptions, missing approvals, unavailable components, or unresolved technical concerns.
  • Requests outside Bright's capabilities, policies, quality standards, safety requirements, or available workflows.
  • Abusive, threatening, fraudulent, unlawful, or materially disruptive conduct.
  • A material violation of these Policies & Terms or another applicable written agreement.
Limitation of Liability

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bright's total liability arising from or relating to a particular case, restoration, appliance, product, or laboratory service will not exceed the amount actually paid to Bright for the specific case giving rise to the claim.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost production, lost revenue, chair time, patient expenses, patient rescheduling costs, missed appointments, or similar business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

15. Force Majeure

Bright is not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fires, power or internet outages, equipment failures, cyber incidents, labor disruptions, carrier interruptions, supply or material shortages, manufacturer delays, government actions, public emergencies, or similar events.

Any affected performance obligation will be suspended or extended for the period reasonably necessary to address the event and resume normal operations.

16. New York Law, Suffolk County & Binding Arbitration

These Policies & Terms and the parties' business relationship are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to Bright's products or services, a customer account, a case, an invoice, or these Policies & Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules before one arbitrator in Suffolk County, New York.

Either party may seek temporary or provisional relief from a court when necessary to preserve rights or property pending arbitration. Bright may also pursue an action in court to collect an undisputed or past-due invoice. Any court proceeding permitted under this section must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Suffolk County, New York.

Judgment on an arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitrator may award any remedy permitted by the applicable agreement and law, including reasonable collection costs and attorneys' fees where expressly authorized by these terms or another applicable written agreement.

17. Entire Agreement, Order of Precedence, Severability & Waiver

These Policies & Terms, together with any applicable prescription, written quote, pricing agreement, service agreement, Business Associate Agreement, credit application, or other written agreement accepted by Bright, constitute the applicable terms of the parties' business relationship.

If a separately signed written agreement directly conflicts with these general Policies & Terms, the separately signed agreement controls to the extent of that conflict. A Business Associate Agreement controls with respect to the handling of protected health information to the extent required by its terms and applicable law.

If any provision of these Policies & Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. Bright's failure to enforce a provision in one instance does not waive the right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.

18. Changes to These Terms

Bright may update these Policies & Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services, workflows, pricing practices, business operations, or legal requirements. The effective date shown at the top of this page identifies the current version.

Unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing, revised terms apply prospectively to cases and transactions accepted after the updated terms become effective.
